HE Sak Setha Chairs a Meeting on the Demarcation of Administrative Boundaries between Battambang and Pailin Provinces

After discussions, the two provincial administrations agreed to rehabilitate more than 10,000 hectares in Samlot and Kamrieng districts of Battambang province under the control of the Pailin provincial administration, including the border requested by Pailin province. Correction at the point of Lak Hok Pei village and Boeung O Cheang village, Kamrieng commune, entering the border in Battambang province with an area of 1,376 hectares, the border of which Pailin province requested to correct at the point of Kampong Chamlong Krom village 618 hectares of border, which Pailin province requested to be adjusted according to the natural principle (river) at the point of Phnom Dambang and O’Slev, Meanchey commune, Samlot district, entering the border in Battambang province with an area of 6,685 hectares.
His Excellency Sak Setha, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior, stated that the adjustment of the administrative boundary between Battambang and Pailin Provinces is to effectively manage security, order, administration, public services and local development. The procedure for adjusting the border is to be carried out by Royal Decree in accordance with the law to determine and take the natural principles of Stung Sangke and Stung Mongkul Borei in defining the administrative border between Battambang and Pailin provinces.
