Residents of Preah Dak commune yesterday protested in front of the commune hall about the demolition of their houses to live in Run Ta Ek Natural Village.
On the occasion of the opening of the conference “Vision of Cambodia 2022” to discuss the recovery of Cambodia after the Kovid 19 crisis on the morning of October 6, 2022, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that we have not had any impact on People in Preah Dak commune, we just think about the infrastructure of Angkor Baray East, which can have up to 30 million cubic meters of water.
Around this case, Samdech Techo claimed that the storage of water in the eastern baray pool is not enough to reach 30 million cubic meters, which leads to harm to the people, is required to study in a capacity that can only maintain the foundation of Angkor. .
Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that we also know that Preah Dak commune was built about 3 to 400 years ago and this commune is a commune related to our territorial administration. .
Samdech Techo Hun Sen stated, “No, let the people living in Preah Dak commune have peace of mind, we can not go in the opposite direction to dismantle the people who are living, including the commune hall.”
At the same time, Samdech Techo also ordered His Excellency Chea Sophara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land, and Lok Chumteav Pheung Sakona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, to meet and explain to the people in Preah Dak commune.
