The National Assembly of Cambodia and Laos strengthens bilateral cooperation and at the International Parliamentary Forum

The two National Assembly presidents supported the progress of cooperation between the two governments, which has reached the level of “comprehensive and long-term strategic partnership”, mutually beneficial.
At the same time, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin and His Excellency Dr. Say Samphoun Phum Vihan promised to work hard to strengthen the cooperation between the state and the people of the two countries in all fields. HE Dr. Say Samphoun Phum Vihan invited the President of the National Assembly to attend the Summit between the President of the National Assembly of Laos, the Development Triangle (CLV), which will be hosted by the National Assembly of Laos in 2023.

Samdech considers that the exchange of visits between the leaders of the two countries, Cambodia and Laos, both in the legislative and executive branches, will further contribute to the strengthening and promotion of traditional friendship, solidarity and cooperation in all fields for more than 60 years. This comes twice as strong.
During the bilateral meeting, the presidents of the two parliaments exchanged information on the political, social and economic situation, especially about the two parliaments. Afterwards, the President of the National Assembly of Cambodia and the President of the National Assembly of Laos signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Assembly of the two countries and presided over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Secretariat of the National Assembly of Cambodia and Laos. Strengthen and expand cooperation between the two countries at all levels, both bilateral and multilateral frameworks, in inter-parliamentary forums to serve the interests of both countries in line with the actual situation.
