Phnom Penh: His Excellency Li Keqiang, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China, announced that China will continue to help Cambodia to make more progress, and China will provide 200 million yuan to help improve the lives of Cambodians.
On November 9, 2022, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen met with HE Li Keqiang, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China at the Peace Palace.
HE Ly Ker Chheang stated that the relationship between Cambodia and China is a deep relationship in all fields. His Excellency was pleased with this relationship and expressed great pleasure to see that Cambodia is developing rapidly.
The Chinese Prime Minister affirmed that, however, China will continue to assist Cambodia in its further progress, in which China will provide additional assistance to Cambodia in the following areas: 1) 200 million yuan to help improve Livelihood of Cambodians. China will continue to support the restoration of Cambodia’s heritage, increase the number of Cambodian students to study in China, assist in demining activities, help organize the upcoming SEA Games, as well as help Cambodian athletes Build a bridge across the Mekong River to support the construction of the railway connecting Cambodia – Thailand – Laos and China and especially to help Cambodia in the agricultural sector to ensure that the quality of Cambodian agricultural products can be exported to China in accordance with the quota.
