Phnom Penh: In a telephone conversation with Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, on November 1, HE Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, requested to make a video address during the ASEAN Summit.
During the meeting, the President of Ukraine also confirmed Ukraine’s intention to join the ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partner.
In response, the Prime Minister informed that Cambodia will continue to work with other ASEAN member countries in response to Ukraine’s intention to join the ASEAN Dialogue.
His Excellency thanked the Prime Minister for the meeting and also warmly congratulated Cambodia on its success in chairing ASEAN in organizing the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and related meetings last August. I wish Cambodia more success in organizing the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and related summits in November 2022.
