Samdech Sar Kheng Inaugurates Modern Building for Real Shooting Training, Small Arms and Meets with Leaders of Police Academy of Cambodia
Phnom Penh: Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, on October 19, 2022, presided over the inauguration ceremony of a modern building for training live ammunition and meeting with leaders. National Police Teachers and officials of the Police Academy of Cambodia, the ceremony was held at the Police Academy of Cambodia in Kien Svay district, Kandal province.
The event was also attended by the Secretary of State – Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Interior, President of the Police Academy of Cambodia, General Department of Immigration and many other stakeholders, a total of 859 people.
During the ceremony, His Excellency General Professor Seng Phally, President of the Police Academy of Cambodia, paid a courtesy call to Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng and the whole ceremony on the progress of the Police Academy of Cambodia today due to the financial and material support from The Royal Government of Cambodia, under the direct command of Samdech Krala Hom and the efforts of the leaders of the National Police and all officials of the Academy, as well as the support of philanthropists.
His Excellency continued that, in fact, another solid infrastructure, a modern building for training live ammunition, has been completed and put into operation, which is a precious gift from Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng in charge of the construction of His Excellency Lt. Gen. Yim Leang, Commissioner General. Deputy National Police.
In addition, His Excellency the President of the Police Academy of Cambodia also said that this building was built in accordance with international standards, equipped with modern equipment to serve live ammunition training, small arms and trainees of students and police students who have come to study at the Police Academy of Cambodia. The construction work started on April 26, 2022.
On that occasion, Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Interior, praised the leaders and officials of the National Police in all sections of the Police Academy of Cambodia for their work to improve the quality of education and training of students. Participants as police and prison officials will join the Cambodian Police Academy in achieving solid infrastructure development in line with its strategic plan as Cambodia, as well as the world, faces the Kovid-19 crisis and the global economic crisis.
Samdech Krala Hom said that education and training to increase knowledge and capacity building is a work that must be done sustainably to make the National Police Force and prison officers have knowledge, skills, experience and professional ethics to perform their duties responsibly. Must meet the needs of the force unit, the human resource development plan of the Ministry of Interior and the policy of the Royal Government.
Taking that opportunity, Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng said that during his visit to all police schools, he saw that there was significant development through the study and construction of infrastructure such as: school buildings, accommodation buildings. Roads, etc., which are sponsored by the relevant provincial governors, and this can be considered as an important contribution and in the national interest to alleviate the burden of the state in the period when the country has just passed from the crisis of Kovid 19.
At the same time, Samdech Krala Hom would like to thank all the philanthropists who contributed to the national cause and thank you for your hard work and responsibility to train all levels of professors, police teachers and relevant officials in the academy, as well as Provide soft and hard software support for the Academy to become a qualified training force for the police force in accordance with national and international standards.
