Samdech Techo Hun Sen Encourages Seven Important Points for the Progress of the Cambodian National Scout Movement
Phnom Penh÷Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the Prime Minister of Cambodia, gave encouragement on seven important points for the progress of the Cambodian National Scout Movement.
On the occasion of presiding over the closing ceremony of the General Assembly of the Cambodian National Scouts, which was held at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia on the afternoon of October 10, 2022
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also encouraged some important points for the progress of the Cambodian National Scout Movement as follows:
1. The Council and National Scout Executive Committee of Cambodia at the national, provincial, municipal, district and khan levels for the fourth mandate must continue to promote education and training of youth resources by encouraging participation in the scout movement and the development of self-education programs. Become a Scout citizen who benefits the society. Continue to develop policies, strategic plans, legal documents, administrative documents to ensure efficiency and good governance.
2. To increase good cooperation with the World Scout Movement and all national, regional and global scout organizations in order to increase the effective implementation of strategic plans, exchange programs, scout training and develop scout leadership skills at all levels in accordance with Regional and global standards. Continue to encourage talented and qualified young scouts to compete in regional and global scout committees.
3. The National Council of Scouts and Executives of Cambodia at the national, provincial, municipal, district and khan levels must continue to develop long-term, medium-term and short-term action plans, as well as efforts to mobilize philanthropists from the “Scout Fund” at all levels to assist Support Cambodian National Scout activities throughout the country.
4. The National Council of Cambodian Scouts and Executive Committee at the national level must continue to strengthen the efficiency of the management structure and activities of the National Scout of Cambodia at the capital, province, municipality, district and Khan to work well, especially to prepare “policies and programs for senior scouts.” And establish the “Senior Scout Council” to continue to focus on mobilizing and managing the Scouts. All public and private higher education institutions that have not yet organized the Scout Movement must cooperate with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to build the Senior Scouts in their respective units. Individually, guaranteeing both quantity and quality.
5. To continue to organize training programs and develop scout skills for Scout leaders in all units in accordance with international standards to become potential scout resources in planning activities and scout programs in their units.
6. To continue to cooperate with ministries, institutions, the private sector, partner organizations, the World Scout Movement and the National Scout Association of countries in the region and the world to co-organize workshops, youth forums, cultural exchanges, training courses and Regional and global camp to enhance the prestige of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the international stage.
7. Continue to pay attention to inspiring Cambodian National Scout activities at all levels, seek funding, support and organize annual events with participation in various international Scout events.
At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen congratulated and announced the recognition of the Council and the Executive Committee of the National Scouts of Cambodia for the fourth mandate 2022-2026 in the spirit of the General Assembly and called on philanthropists, the private sector and non-governmental organizations to continue to support Resources and means to promote physical education through the physical education system contribute to the effective promotion of education, knowledge, skills and ethics among Cambodian youth.
