PM Samdech Techo Hun Sen Explains Some Legal Aspects to Opposition Opposition Members

Phnom Penh៖The head of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, on the evening of October 9, 2022, raised some legal aspects to the opposition group regarding the appointment or removal of members of the Royal Government.
Samdech Techo wrote on the official page that in order to contribute to help the opposition to gain knowledge that can lead to power in the next nation. Please refer to Article 21, Chapter 2 of the Constitution, which states about the King.
Samdech Techo continued that next, please read Article 20, Chapter 3 of the Law on the Organization and Functioning of the Council of Ministers.
Samdech Techo emphasized that due to lack of knowledge, he had just been imprisoned and fled the country and was accused of being a dictator. Learn more to reach power in the next world and do not get too caught up in gambling.

It should be noted that the mention of this legal aspect after the opposition group criticized Samdech regarding the termination of His Excellency Veng Sakhon from the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the opposition group said that the withdrawal must pass the parliamentary election. Article 21 of the Constitution states that at the request of the Council of Ministers, the King shall sign a Royal Decree appointing, changing or terminating the duties of senior civil and military officials, ambassadors and envoys and extraordinary and competent envoys. Separately, Article 20 of the Law on the Organization and Functioning of the Council of Ministers states that the Prime Minister proposes to the King to terminate the position of a member of the Royal Government by Royal Decree.
