Samdech Techo Hun Sen Leads a Delegation to Return to Cambodia Safely

Phnom Penh÷On the afternoon of September 28, 2022, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, led a high-level delegation of the Royal Government of Cambodia to return to Cambodia safely after attending the United Nations General Assembly. The 77th Nation in the United States, the official visit to the Republic of Cuba and the national funeral of His Excellency Abe Shinzo, former Prime Minister of Japan from September 21 to 28, 2022.
As a result of the Prime Minister’s overseas mission throughout the past week, the results have been brilliant for the motherland. In connection with the 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations General Assembly, Samdech Techo Prime Minister made a national statement of Cambodia in the General Assembly of the United Nations General Assembly. The intervention focused on Cambodia’s constructive role in supporting multilateralism based on the rule of law, working together to combat ongoing global security threats, climate change, strengthening the multilateral trading system, and pursuing digital policies. And the green economy, as well as Cambodia’s ASEAN chairmanship and Cambodia’s efforts to mitigate the impact of the Kovid-19 pandemic and to sustain long-term socio-economic growth.

During his stay in New York, the Prime Minister also met with UN, European Council and other key leaders.
During his visit to Cuba, Samdech Techo met with key Cuban leaders such as His Excellency the President of Cuba, President of the Cuban National Assembly and other key leaders, as well as the signing of three important documents. Mutual cooperation between the two countries and further strengthen future cooperation.

For the last program, Samdech Techo attended the national funeral of His Excellency Shinzo Abe, the former Prime Minister of Japan, who recently passed away. At the same time, Samdech Techo also met with many other important leaders of Japan.
