HE Sak Setha: The Inter-Ministerial Commission for the Promotion and Supervision of Foreign Labor Inspection was established to support the action plan to increase the fight against human trafficking, labor and sex trade.

Phnom Penh: His Excellency Sak Setha, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Inter-Ministerial Commission for the Promotion and Supervision of Foreign Labor Inspection, stated that the Inter-Ministerial Commission was established in order to support the operational plan to increase the fight against all forms of Trafficking in persons, labor trafficking and sexual exploitation in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

During a meeting to disseminate the decision on the establishment of the Inter-Ministerial Commission for the Promotion and Inspection of Foreign Labor Inspection under the chairmanship of Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, on December 16, HE Sak Setha read out the decision of the Royal Government. On the Establishment of the Inter-Ministerial Commission for the Promotion and Supervision of Foreign Labor Inspection, the Inter-Ministerial Commission is composed of 21 members, including one chairman, led by HE Dr. Ith Sam Heng, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, 6 Vice-Chairmen and 14 members.

His Excellency stated that “This Inter-Ministerial Commission was established for the purpose of strengthening the work of foreign labor inspection in the Kingdom of Cambodia to be more effective in accordance with the laws and regulations in force and to promote the work of foreign labor inspection and disseminate the relevant measures. Enterprises, casinos, clubs, clubs to support the operational plan to increase employment, fight all forms of human trafficking, labor trafficking and sex trade in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

At the same time, HE added that the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and members of this commission have the right to use subordinates to participate in the work as necessary.

At the same time, His Excellency Dr. Ith Sam Heng, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training and Chairman of the Inter-Ministerial Commission for the Promotion and Supervision of Foreign Labor Inspection, also made a commitment to perform foreign labor inspections effectively.
