Cambodia will host the 2nd ASEAN Women’s Summit under the chairmanship of Samdech Techo Hun Sen

Phnom Penh÷ As the chair of ASEAN, on Wednesday afternoon, October 12, 2022, Cambodia will host the second ASEAN Women’s Summit, which will be chaired by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia and chair of ASEAN.

The 2nd ASEAN Women’s Summit will be held under the theme [Building a Sustainable, Environmental and Stronger Future: Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs in ASEAN].  Meetings will be held in a hybrid format, with live and video participants.  There were about 300 direct participants and about 500 people through the video system.

During the Second ASEAN Women’s Summit, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will deliver a keynote address at the opening and closing of the meeting.  In addition, there are interventions from special speakers.

The 2nd ASEAN Women’s Summit aims to provide a forum for the exchange of views and discussions between ASEAN Women Leaders and Leaders of ASEAN Member States on challenges and opportunities for the development of women’s entrepreneurship and the promotion of revolution.  Towards a strong recovery of small and medium enterprises with the utmost emphasis on resilience and sustainability, as well as women’s economic empowerment and gender mainstreaming.  These goals will be achieved by clearly defining the transformation and holistic approaches that leaders and stakeholders can use to address complex and multidisciplinary challenges that hinder entrepreneurship and leadership.  Women’s economy.

The meeting will look at current barriers and trends, as well as opportunities that may affect women’s access to entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystems in the context of the 19 epidemic of Kovid, as well as changes in the work environment and revolution.  Digital in ASEAN.

The ASEAN Women’s Summit is expected to reaffirm ASEAN’s commitment to supporting and promoting women’s entrepreneurship to the regional agenda, recognizing the important role, potential and strengths of leaders.  All women and girls in ASEAN to pave the way for the rehabilitation and future planning of ASEAN in the post-Kovid 19 crisis.
