Commentary: Gratitude is a heroic example for humanity

Dr. Chea Vanny, a lecturer at various universities in Cambodia, told Radio Cambodia-China Friendship on October 5, 2022, the day of Teachers’ Day, that as a teacher, she was very happy to celebrate. Teachers’ Day, October 5, because this day is a bell for young people, students to know their values and virtues to teachers, while teachers are important human resources in training to increase human resources, regardless of society In Cambodia and other countries in the world, and each person has knowledge depends on teachers.
Voice: “Teachers are a very important resource for all of us humanity, so this Teachers ‘Day is an important day and let the youth and students continue to organize Teachers’ Day to be grateful to the teachers as well as the teachers who train us.” “Because the teacher is the second parent, which is a Khmer proverb, we mean that after the parents who value our lives, each of us is the teacher who teaches us from knowledge to know how to live in society.”
Dr. Chea Vanny, who is also the Director of the Department of Theology, Geology and Gender of the Institute of Anthropology and Social Sciences of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, also asked young people and students to remember the merits of teachers, not just on October 5, Teachers’ Day. Every day for life, let the youth value the teacher because he is the trainer for us to have knowledge, especially children must be grateful to the teacher from the beginning. She said that when a young person appreciates a teacher, it means that he is a virtuous person in life, he will have his own value, because each of us has a teacher, no matter what the teacher teaches knowledge or knowledge. Therefore, when we have a culture of gratitude to our teachers, our youth are valuable in life, making life prosperous.
Overall, she sees this gratitude as a heroic example for all of us.

It should be noted that since 1997, the Kingdom of Cambodia has organized Teachers’ Day every year on October 5 in order to revive the culture and tradition of commemorating the noble merits of students to teachers across the country. For 2022, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has organized a celebration of October 5 Teachers’ Day under the theme “Our teachers, our future, our country” under the presidency of HE Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, which organized this program.
