The smiling faces of Chinese farmers during the harvest season are a strong guarantee for the nation’s food security

China÷In China’s autumn, every year, the golden ripe rice fields cover millions of hectares, dispelling the aroma of attractive grains, vegetables, fruits of all kinds, competing to grow and bear fruit continuously.  As the Chinese proverb says, “Struggle once pays off” is the happiest moment for Chinese farmers, as they have spent almost half a year cultivating and caring for it.

Since the mechanization, the harvest of many kinds of crops by Chinese farmers has taken less time, less energy, and yielded faster.  Food crops and vegetables are being shipped to markets across the country, ensuring a supply on demand.

Stabilization of China’s production and supply chain has stabilized commodity prices in a reasonable range and curbed a sharp rise in inflation, with food output estimated at more than 0.65 trillion kilograms this year.  Grams that can meet domestic demand and export.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has always said that the “pot of rice” in his hands really belongs to him.  At present, China’s food stocks have a total capacity of more than 6.5 billion tons, the world’s most advanced food storage technology, and the two main types of food stocks are rice and wheat.  Throughout the year.
Farmers are the foundation of the nation’s food security, so the Chinese party and government have paid close attention to “rural agriculture and farming.”  In particular, by the end of 2020, China will have achieved its first “one-century goal” – on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, it will lift all poor people out of poverty.
Achievements in reducing poverty are not easy to achieve, and maintaining them is even more difficult.  A Chinese proverb says, “Food is the root of people’s survival.” Of course, people have enough food to work and live happily, and the nation is stable.

It should be noted that since the outbreak of Kovid-19, some countries have introduced measures to restrict the export of food and agricultural products, which affects regional and global food security.
In addition, complex globalization and rising inflation are causing some countries to face a food crisis that requires urgent international cooperation, otherwise it will not be easy to overcome this rare recurrence.  .
Adhering to and supporting multilateralism and the One World Community as a Common Destiny initiative, China has put in place a number of measures to safeguard its food security and contribute to global food security, such as promoting  Actively cooperating in international agricultural cooperation, assisting developing countries to improve agricultural production and food security levels, as well as providing the largest funding for cooperation between the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and developing countries.
In 2021, China’s average per capita food supply was 483 kilograms, far exceeding world safety standards.  Based on its resources, China solves one-fifth of the world’s food shortages, a major contribution to global food security.
Happiness comes from the struggle. Chinese leaders often say, “Whether people have a good life or not, it depends on whether people have a happy smile.”  Indeed, making people, especially farmers, with happy smiles, is one of the most important work directions of the Chinese government, and the yield of stockpiled agricultural products is a clear guarantee of “pot” and security.  The food of the Chinese people will contribute to maintaining global food security.
