Tomorrow! Samdech Techo Hun Sen to Preside Over the Opening Ceremony of “Cambodia Vision 2022”

Phnom Penh÷On the morning of October 6, 2022, tomorrow, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia will preside over the opening ceremony of the conference “Vision of Cambodia 2022”.
The “Vision of Cambodia” conference is an important forum to bring together experts to discuss topics related to economic and social issues as input for solving challenges and exploring opportunities for development in Cambodia.
The “Vision of Cambodia” conference has been held annually for 13 years. In 2020 and 2021, 19 Kovid outbreaks failed to host this important forum.
After the Royal Government of Cambodia, led by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, successfully prevented the spread of Kovid 19 in 2022, the Cambodia Development and Research Institute (CDRI) in collaboration with Chip Mong, Giga Group With Australia’s assistance program, the “Vision for Cambodia” conference has been rescheduled.
The conference “Vision of Cambodia 2022” is organized under the theme “Rehabilitation of Cambodia: Sustainable Development after the Kovid 19 Crisis”. The Cambodia Vision 2022 conference is attended by about 400 leaders from national and sub-national levels of the Royal Government of Cambodia, foreign embassies, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in Cambodia, UN agencies, the private sector, development partners, educational institutions, and educational institutions. Research and national-international NGOs in Cambodia as well.
At the opening ceremony of the conference tomorrow, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will deliver keynote speeches related to the Kovid 19 crisis, as well as some of the Royal Government’s strategies to rehabilitate the country after the global epidemic.
The conference will focus on three key topics:
Topic 1: “Sustainable Development in a Broken World After the Kovid 19 Crisis” This topic examines regional and global economic changes in the aftermath of an epidemic and the importance of these changes to Cambodia. Looking at the digital landscape, globalization and its impact on the geopolitical environment, including the “new normal way of life” or “new normal” after the pandemic, will be the main topics of discussion.
Discussions on this topic will be moderated by Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs and ASEAN, and attended by Dr. Caroline Youssef of the University of Notre Dame and Professor Burt Hoffman of the National University of Singapore. And Dr. Wing Theo Woo from the University of California and other speakers.
Topic 2: “How can Cambodia continue to be successful after the Kovid-19 crisis?” This topic is a detailed discussion of Cambodia’s economic success before and after Kovid 19. An examination of the pros and cons of development will focus on defining strategies that ensure cooperation between governments, companies, businesses and civil society to address ongoing uncertainties. Discussion on this topic was attended by Dr. Eng Netra, Executive Director of CDRI, as well as experts from other leading educational institutions who will share key ideas and discuss strategies.
Topic 3: “Priorities for the restoration of Cambodia’s development model”. The chair will discuss the country’s future as well as its focus on turning to better development. By defining urgent actions as well as long-term strategies for discussions on public health, human resources, sustainable agriculture, digital innovation and technology, this discussion focuses on updating the Cambodian economy.
The talks will shed light on Cambodia’s path, facilitated by Oknha Sok Piseth, President and Co-Founder of G Gear co. Delegate to the Prime Minister and Secretary to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).
