Samdech Techo Hun Sen Receives Thai Minister for Higher Education and Innovation
Phnom Penh÷Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on this morning, October 7, 2022, received HE Anek Laothamatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of the Kingdom of Thailand. Discuss work.
During the meeting, HE Anek Laothamatas thanked the Prime Minister for allowing him and the delegation to pay a courtesy call at this time and conveyed greetings from the leadership of Thailand to Samdech Techo. .
His Excellency also informed Samdech Techo that his purpose in coming to the Kingdom of Cambodia now is to expand and strengthen the cooperation between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia through 1) Please provide scholarships to Cambodian students. Study for master’s and doctoral degrees in science and technology at renowned universities in the Kingdom of Thailand. Second, by allowing Cambodian scientific researchers to participate in research in many fields, including astronomy, biology, food and other fields. And 3) Please respect cooperation in the field of health, especially on specialties.
In addition, HE also invited the Cambodian delegation to pay an official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand to explore the feasibility of expanding and strengthening cooperation between Cambodia and Thailand, especially in the field of education.
In response, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked HE Anek Laothamatas for bringing a message from the leadership of the Kingdom of Thailand to Samdech. Samdech Techo also thanked for providing scholarships, cooperation in science and technology research and health and health.
Samdech Techo said that Cambodia needs students to study that specialty at the master’s and doctoral level, as well as research. In this regard, Samdech Techo requested for discussions with relevant institutions to promote better and deeper cooperation.
